Learning strategy is the specific
actions to make the students better in learning a second language. Learning
strategy training is based on problems students encounter in the process of
learning target language. These problems are needed to be solved for an
affective learning. First, students are given the strategy and then they are
expected to apply it.
The
goals of teachers: to make language learners aware of their own potential on
learning something and teach them strategies
The
roles of the teacher: the teacher models the use of the strategy using a
think-aloud demonstration
The
roles of the students: learners evaluate their own success in learning
strategies and they modify the strategy to meet their own learning needs
